Vision
Regulated organizations deserve Intelligent Assistance (IA) that respects their obligations—not tools that ask them to treat fluent guessing as research.
Explico® Development becomes an enterprise-security company whose products meet the needs of regulated enterprises. Customers get answers from human-curated, deterministic knowledge domains with traceable provenance—or a clear decline when truth cannot be confirmed. The same platform research powers our secured multi-tenant shared service for production customers today.
Engineering certainty in intelligence
Generative systems made plausible language feel like understanding. In high-stakes work, a citation that cannot be verified wastes time and erodes trust. Our vision is the opposite: precision prompts, prepared records, and answers that behave the same way under review on the secured shared service—including enterprise programs with SSO, walls, and audit exports.
We design IA as a workforce multiplier that keeps judgment with people: assistance that cites, clarifies, and declines—not autonomy that replaces responsibility.
Many domains, one discipline
Explico® is built around knowledge domains—versioned, SME-governed corpora with signed notices and release gates—not a single vertical forever. United States legal research is the first domain we ship to prove the architecture; additional domains follow only with the same controls: two-SME consensus where required, provenance, freshness discipline, and honest limits in customer-facing notices.
Customer prompts and work product are not used to train those shared knowledge domains. Privacy, tenant isolation, and verify-every-request access are part of the vision, not an afterthought.
Secured shared service, one standard
Production customers use a managed, zero-trust shared service: per-tenant boundaries, encryption, deterministic routing, declines, and audit discipline at every tier. Enterprise adds organization controls and contractual evidence—not a separate “lite” security story.
Laboratory research (see Laboratory) may explore a hardened on-premises appliance for future highly regulated workloads; we do not market that path as a current product.
We do not promise that every workload or region is available today. We do promise not to market controls we have not built and measured.
Where we start (version 1)
Verified accounts may try a signed-in 1911 Encyclopædia Britannica evaluation (public domain, historical framing). Our first production knowledge domain is United States legal research for US law firms and corporate legal departments—research, not legal advice. Courts, government agencies as customers, and enterprises outside the United States are out of scope for version 1 until a separate decision with counsel. That boundary is a scope choice, not a ceiling on the company’s purpose.
Longer direction
We aim to serve regulated enterprises broadly—anywhere deterministic, curated knowledge and strong deployment boundaries matter more than open-ended generation. New industries, domains, and regions are named publicly only after SME review, security evidence, and counsel where required. We will not publish roadmaps with dates we have not earned.
Our Mission states what we build today. The Laboratory describes how we evaluate IA in public with partners who accept clear scopes and declines.
